Improving regulation with GPQI

Dialogue matters

In close dialogue with stakeholders from the industrial sector, GPQI identifies regulatory challenges. These affect sectors as diverse as industrial machinery, medical devices, and child products. To address these challenges, GPQI facilitates direct communication between the Brazilian Ministry of Economy (Ministério da Economia - ME) and stakeholders. Since 2020, GPQI identified 53 regulatory challenges through its stakeholder network, reporting bottlenecks in areas such as product licensing, customs procedures and mutual recognition for laboratory testing. This supports the Brazilian ministry’s agenda for regulatory simplification.
