International Governmental Symposium on E-Commerce Legislation in China

On 15th and 16th June, 2016 representatives from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the German Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV) participated in an international government symposium on e-commerce legislation in Shanghai.

On 15zh and 16th June, 2016 representatives from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the German Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV) participated in an international government symposium on e-commerce legislation in Shanghai. The symposium was organised by the National People’s Congress (NPC) and implemented by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and presented the draft of a new comprehensive Chinese E-Commerce Law, which is proposed to be implemented in 2016. Up to 40 participants from several Chinese ministries a well as from governmental agencies of Chinese partner countries from around the world were invited. The symposium allowed for the commenting by the international community.
