Indo-German Expert Workshop: IoT Device Security: What Role for Standards and Certification?
2019-05-16, 12:30–16:30
Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India
The rapid spread of networked products and devices – or Internet of Things (IoT) devices – puts cyber security at the centre of attention across sectors. From manufacturing, healthcare, smart home to interconnected vehicles, cyber security solutions are needed that prevent negative impacts for people’s health and privacy, business activities, the environment, and national security. Given the international relevance of IoT device security, India and Germany collaborate on effective responses by the public and private sectors.
We are pleased to invite you to an expert workshop on the topic “IoT Device Security: What Role for Standards and Certification?”. The workshop takes place at the side-lines of it-sa India, India’s IT security expo and conference, and brings together experts from industry, government, standards bodies and research. The deliberations at the workshop will provide input to an Indo-German discussion paper on this topic which will support policy development in India, Germany, and beyond.
The event is organised by GIZ – the German Agency for International Cooperation – in cooperation with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce and the Data Security Council of India (DSCI). It takes place under the framework of the Indo-German Working Group on Quality Infrastructure between the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, and the Indian Ministry for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution.
