To achieve net zero mobility both Germany and Indonesia have been promoting the uptake of electric vehicles. The German Federal Government has set a goal of seven to ten million electric cars being registered in Germany by 2030, while in Indonesia the target is two million electric cars and thirteen million two-wheeled electric vehicles by 2030. To meet these demands, standardisation plays an essential part to ensure safety and enable interoperability and compatibility which in turn helps to reduce costs.

The Workshop on Quality Infrastructure for Electromobility is organised as part of the Indonesian – German Bilateral Dialogue on Quality Infrastructure that entered its fourth year of implementation. The workshop aims to address the concrete status and the need for action in the field of QI (standardisation, conformity assessment, accreditation and metrology) for electromobility. The information in this workshop will contribute to an upcoming study on QI for electromobility in Indonesia.
