5th Plenary Meeting of the Sino-German Sub-Working Group E-Mobility

The 5th Plenary Meeting of Sino-German Sub-Working Group E-Mobility was held in Qingdao, China on June 28. More than 82 representatives from ministries, standardization bodies and industry from both, China and Germany, attended this meeting. The delegations were headed by Ms. Wang Li, Deputy General of Industrial Standards Department II of the Standardization Administration of PR China (SAC) and Mr. Rüdiger Marquardt, Member of the Board of the German Institute for Standardization (DIN). Mr. Yin Minghan, Vice Administrator of SAC and Dr. Thomas Zielke, Head of Division Technology Transfer through Standardisation and Patents, Questions of Principle in Standardisation and Patent Policy of BMWi attended the meeting.

Both delegations exchanged information on various topics and summarized the results of the Sino-German cooperation on electric vehicle standardisation during the last year in the fields of Wireless Power Transfer, Traction Batteries, and Interoperability of the EV charging Infrastructure as well as Data Transfer and Cybersecurity etc.

 

Both, SAC and DIN, conclude to strengthen the cooperation on bilateral and international level. This includes a closer cooperation and information exchange regarding the work on the topics and standardisation projects Wireless Power Transfer, Traction Batteries,Interoperability of the EV charging Infrastructure, Data Transfer and Cybersecurity and High Power Charging (HPC).

 

Regarding the next steps SAC and DIN conclude to coordinate mutually the implementation of the conclusions. This comprises the management and distribution of relevant information, to intensify the cooperation regarding international standardisation activities and projects and to support the initiation of bilateral collaborations, e.g. the arrangement of dedicated workshops.
