Bilateral exchange with the Ministry of Public Security of the PRC

During a an official delegation visit of the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) to Beijing, a dialogue with the Ministry for Public Security (MPS) of the PRC on product requirements in the security industry was initiated, which had been anticipated for a long time by German industry representatives. From the German side, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and a representative of the German embassy participated in the meeting. On the Chinese side, in addition to the international department of MPS and the department responsible for fire protection, the China Certification Center for Fire Products (CCCF) which is directly affiliated to the MPS also participated.
Both sides agreed on continued technical discussions on market access conditions, in particular the Chinese CCC certification, as well as on requirements for product reliability.
This technical exchange is currently the only international cooperation activity of the MPS in this area.
