Brazilian Government launches new Public Consultation on National Strategy for QI

The Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC) has launched a new public consultation to foster collaboration in shaping the National Strategy for Quality Infrastructure (ENIQ) and its biannual action plan for 2025-2026. The main objective is to gather evidence-based information, ideas, suggestions and experiences on the strategic actions and deliverables outlined in the ENIQ. The public consultation provides a valuable opportunity for individuals, businesses, and organisations to share their insights and expertise, helping to build a stronger and more effective quality infrastructure system in Brazil.

ENIQ's key objectives

ENIQ aims to cover objectives of economic, social, and environmental development while promoting technological progress within the Brazilian market. This way, Brazil seeks to strengthen competition in the productive sector, fostering innovation and digital transformation of its economy more broadly. It also aims to use QI as a strategic tool to achieve sustainable development while enhancing the quality and safety of products, services, and processes. Ultimately, it shall foster a level playing field by modernising legal frameworks and supporting exports of Brazilian products and services for the global market.
