Mexico
The publication "Recommendations to the Authorities: Strengthening the Use of Cybersecurity International Standards in the Mexican Private Sector" is the third of four volumes in the series that delves into the importance of cybersecurity in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
This volume provides suggestions for cybersecurity authorities in Mexico. The aim is to develop the necessary conditions for implementing international standards in the private sector, especially in MSMEs. Drawing from existing regulations and recent initiatives, it offers strategic advice on standardisation, capacity-building in businesses, cybersecurity workforce training, and global collaboration. These recommendations were developed by a group of specialists in companies, business associations, standardisation bodies and telecommunications authorities, leveraging their practical experience and understanding of Mexico's cybersecurity landscape.
This publication falls within the "Cybersecurity in the context of digitalisation and Industry 4.0" project under the German-Mexican Dialogue on Quality Infrastructure. Its primary objective is to strengthen the implementation of internationally harmonised standards in the realm of cybersecurity and information security. This is to ensure globally secure and resilient value chains.
