2022-09-07 , 12:00–15:30 Online / Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Berlin

We currently find ourselves at the beginning of comprehensive digital and green transformations towards
an increasingly digital, climate-neutral and sustainable economy and society. As a G7, we want to act as
pioneers to protect the climate and the environment and to accelerate a digitally enabled sustainable global
energy transition. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action has therefore
initiated an exchange of G7 partners and their respective stakeholders on the subject of standardisation in
these areas, taking place under the activities of the Digital Ministers’ Track under Germany’s G7 Presidency
in 2022.

Building on the virtual Expert Workshop “Strengthening G7 Coordination on Supporting International
Standardisation for the Digital and Green Transformations” held on 27 April 2022, BMWK is planning a highlevel
Multi-Stakeholder Conference with G7 partners and representatives from governments, industries,
standards organisations, academia and civil society on the subject of “Standardisation – a strategic
instrument for climate action and the global digital energy transition” to be held

on 7 September 2022 from 12:00 to 15:30 CEST (UTC+2)
at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Berlin.

The event will take place in a hybrid format.

BMWK cordially invites the G7 partners to forward this save-the-date to their respective stakeholders,
encouraging them to actively take part in the conference.

Please find the draft agenda for the conference here.
An invitation and further information for registered participants will follow closer to the conference.

Please register to participate here by 30 August 2022.
